J.A.M. Camp is a weekend retreat for kids in grades 3-6 and includes swimming, worship, skits, archery, games, campfires, and our annual COLOR Wars competition.  Your child won’t want to miss this special weekend!  This year JAM Camp 2011 will be held at Camp Advenchur in Alton Bay, NH. All children who have completed 2nd grade through 6th grade (June 2012) are welcome to register.  Invite a friend to join you! Register online or pick up a registration on Sunday in the foyer. Scholarships are available.

The period of Lent, which leads up to Easter, is a time for Christians to look inward and examine their lives.  This Lent we will look at 5 of the Spiritual Disciplines.  “Discipline” and “discipleship” share the same root word.  The Disciplines, when practiced correctly, will deepen our walk with Christ and move us further along the path of discipleship.

Lent is about preparation—preparing ourselves through repentance to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Traditionally, Christians around the world have participated in services on Ash Wednesday to signal the beginning of this time of preparation.  We invite you to join us in a service that calls us to repent and prepare our hearts during the season of Lent.

A special offering will be taken and divided between the Strafford County Homeless Shelter and the Forward Edge Clean Water Project-Nicaragua.

Directions to the Rochester Opera House:

From the North (Rte. 11):Take Rte. 11 south past Wal-Mart Plaza and into Rochester.  Continue through traffic lights at Home Depot plaza.  This turns into North Main Street.  Continue straight, over Cocheco River, to lights in the downtown.  Continue through lights and get into the left lane.  Merge left (NOT 202A) at Parson Main monument onto Wakefield Street.  City Hall/Opera House is located on your right at 31 Wakefield Street, next to the fire station.  Please park in back lot, or along the street.

From the South (Rte. 108):Take Rte. 108 north towards Rochester.  Continue past Skyhaven Airport, and over Rochester Hill.  Continue past Frisbie Memorial Hospital, where Rte. 108 north turns into South Main Street.  Go through three sets of lights.  After the third set, get into the right lane, where Main Street bears to the right in the downtown.  City Hall/Opera House is located on your right at 31 Wakefield Street, next to the fire station.  Please park in back lot, or along the street.

From the East (Rte. 202):Take Rte. 202 west towards Rochester.  Past the Shoreyville Plaza (on your right), there are two sets of lights.  At the second set, take a left onto Eastern Avenue.  Continue to the stop sign.  Take a left and then a quick right (Summer Street).  At stoplights, take another left onto Columbus Avenue.  City Hall/Opera House is located on your right, next to the police station.  Please park in back lot, or along the street.

From the West (Rte 202):Take Rte. 202 into Rochester.  Past the Lowe’s Plaza, the road turns into Washington Street.  Continue straight to the stop sign.  Take a right onto North Main Street.  Continue over Cocheco River and through first set of lights in the downtown.  Get into the left lane, and merge left (Not 202A) onto Wakefield Street at Parson Main monument. City Hall/Opera House is located on your right at 31 Wakefield Street, next to the fire station.  Please park in back lot, or along the street.

From the Spaulding Turnpike (Rte 16):Take Exit # 12 to Rte. #125 north.  Continue through three sets of lights.  At fourth set, bear left onto Columbus Ave. At fifth set, turn left onto South Main St. Continue through one set of lights and merge into right lane.  City Hall/Opera House is located on your right at 31 Wakefield St., next to the fire station.  Please park in rear lot, or along the street.
